CZ120 (CW608N)
CZ120 (CW608N), also known as engraving brass, is a classic leaded machining alloy primarily available in sheet form. It is an alpha beta brass with a 2% lead addition that gives the alloy its free-cutting properties.
Traditionally used for machine-engraved nameplates and signs, CZ120 (CW608N) also offers a good combination of strength, corrosion resistance and hot formability. The duplex phase structure, however, means this alloy is not suitable for acid-etched work.
