Steel Classification by Shape

 It can be divided into four categories:a. Profile, b. Sheet, c. Pipe, and d. Metal products.

a. Profile:

Heavy rail, steel rails (including crane rails) with a weight of more than 30 kg per meter;

light rails, steel rails with a weight of 30 kg or less per meter.

Large section steel: general steel round steel, square steel, flat steel, hexagonal steel, I-beam, channel steel, equilateral and unequal angle steel and rebar, etc.Subdivided into large, medium and small steel according to scale

Wire: Round steel and wire rods with a diameter of 5-10 mm

Cold-formed section: A section made by cold-forming a steel or steel strip

High-quality profiles:high-quality steel round steel, square steel, flat steel, hexagonal steel, etc.

b. Plate

Thin steel plates, steel plates with a thickness of 4 mm or less

Thick steel plate, thicker than 4 mm.Can be divided into medium plate (thickness greater than 4mm and less than 20mm),thick plate (thickness greater than 20mm and less than 60mm), extra thick plate (thickness greater than 60mm)

Steel strip, also called strip steel, is actually a long, narrow thin steel plate supplied in coils

Electrical silicon steel sheet, also called silicon steel sheet or silicon steel sheet

c. Pipe:

Seamless steel pipe, seamless steel pipe produced by hot rolling, hot rolling-cold drawing or kneading

Welding steel pipes, bending steel plates or steel strips, and then welding the manufactured steel pipes

d. metal products Including steel wire, steel wire rope, steel wire, etc.
