Stainless Steel Grade 317L (UNS S31703)

  Stainless steel grade 317L is a low carbon version of grade 317 stainless steel. It has the same high strength and corrosion resistance as 317 steel but can produce stronger welds due to the low carbon content.

1.4438, X2CrNiMo18-15-4, AISI 317L - specification and application

Austenitic acid-resistant special steel, used in the production of heat exchangers, pipelines, fittings, parts of radiators and pumps, connectors, tanks for chemical compounds, bolts and nuts. It is mainly used in the chemical, petrochemical, nitrogen, food, refinery, cryogenic and paper industries. Steel resistant to intergranular corrosion.
